The TA & Support Center is partnering with the National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (NOFAS) to provide a three-part series related to prenatal alcohol exposure. During Session one, Kathy Mitchell of NOFAS provided an overview of the historical view on alcohol and pregnancy; the current research on how both alcohol and other substances may impact on the developing fetus; and diagnostic criteria for FASD.
