The purpose of the convention was to learn about training and technical assistance available for you to effectively plan and implement the new Healthy Start model that aims to maximize the impact of Healthy Start on the reduction of infant mortality through the integration of current and emerging evidenced-based approaches. The Convention featured presentations on the four components of the Healthy Start EPIC model which are: 1) Evaluate need and impact; 2) Partner for collective impact; 3) Implement evidence-based practice and; 4) Consider the client’s context.
